It would make life so much easier, particularly at airports where security is concerned. I was subject to a search at the airport last year because the check in assistant alerted security to the fact that I was acting suspiciously! Was the most horriffic experience I have ever encountered and I havent travelled since. Having an ID card that could be presented in such situations would be brilliant.

Posts: 2 Jul 25 10 5:22 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I think that tremor id cards would be a good thing not just for airport security but for a lot of things. for example filling in forms you can get someeone to help if you have a card to prove you have difficulty with writing.

I can imagine being searched just makes essential tremor worse.I think generally things can be difficult when going on holiday even going to have breakfast.

I know that after my experience at the airport I will never travel abroad again. An identification card would be a godsend to avoid humiliating experiences like this due to this condition..

Posts: 10 Aug 5 10 4:40 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I've only ever been on an airplane once and my tremors weren't quite as bad then as they are now, but if employers' reactions are anything to go by an ID card would be a good thing to carry round for situations where "bad impressions" make a difference.

Posts: 11 Jul 13 11 11:21 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I have a ID card it was given to me following my DBS surgery...i have to show it at airports on arrival as my implants might set off the security system....likewise in shops too as it can set off the security scanners at the doors.
